Getting Started

How do I sign up for Lunara?

Visit beardedai.net/lunara and click "Start Free Trial." No credit card required for the 14-day trial. After trial, plans are $97/month for Lunara CRM. You'll create an account with your email + password.

Where does my Lunara data live?

Lunara is local-first, meaning your data is stored in your browser's localStorage on your device, not on our servers. This is a deliberate privacy decision β€” we cannot read your client list, jobs, or invoices.

Important: If you clear your browser cache, log out of your browser profile, or use a different device, you'll need to import a JSON backup to access your data on the new device.

To back up: Settings β†’ Data β†’ "πŸ“₯ Export All (JSON Backup)". Save the file or email it to yourself.

To restore on a new device: Sign in β†’ Settings β†’ Data β†’ "πŸ“€ Import / Restore" β†’ upload the JSON file.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Email us at beardedai.net@gmail.com with the subject "Cancel Subscription." We'll cancel before your next billing cycle. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period β€” you keep access through the period you've paid for.

Your data stays on your device. Use Export All before signing out if you want to keep a copy.

Lunara CRM β€” common questions

The PIN pad isn't working β€” what do I type?

Click "Use PIN Access" on the sign-in screen. Then type your 4-digit PIN using either:

  • The on-screen number buttons
  • Your physical keyboard's number row
  • Your numeric keypad (Num Lock on)

Press Backspace to delete a digit, Escape to close the PIN screen. The PIN auto-submits when you enter the 4th digit.

How do I add a business type to a client?

Open any Client (or click "+ New Client"), then select from the "Business Type / Industry" dropdown β€” there are 25 industries to choose from (Roofing, Plumbing, Real Estate, Salon, Auto Repair, etc.).

Once a business type is set, when you create a Job for that client, the "Service / Job Type" dropdown automatically populates with relevant services for that industry. No business type set means the dropdown shows generic options.

How do I connect my Google Calendar?

Go to Lunara β†’ Integrations β†’ click "Connect Google Calendar." A Google sign-in popup appears. Sign in with your Google account, accept the calendar.events + gmail.send + userinfo.email permissions, and you're connected.

You can revoke access anytime at myaccount.google.com/permissions or by clicking "Disconnect" in Lunara.

How do I export my data to Excel?

Lunara β†’ Settings β†’ Data β†’ "πŸ“Š Export to Excel" buttons for each module (Clients, Jobs, Invoices, Schedule, etc.). Files download as real .xlsx that opens in Excel, Google Sheets, or Apple Numbers.

For a full JSON backup of everything, use "πŸ“₯ Export All (JSON Backup)" instead.

Can multiple users edit the same Lunara workspace?

Not yet. Lunara's local-first architecture means each browser is an isolated workspace. If two people sign into the same account on different devices, they each see their own (separately-stored) data and the most recent login overwrites.

Real-time multi-user collaboration is on our roadmap and will require the future Supabase backend integration. For now, use the export/import flow to share workspace state between team members.

Voice & SMS Agents

How do I get a voice agent set up for my business?

Voice agent deployments are custom-built per business. Call us at (610) 735-6163 or email beardedai.net@gmail.com to start a discovery call.

Typical timeline: 1-2 weeks from signing to live agent. Setup fee covers agent build, training on your business, integrations, and live deployment. Then you're on a flat monthly subscription.

Pricing: Starter $247 setup + $497/mo Β· Growth $447 setup + $997/mo Β· Enterprise custom.

Is the voice agent legal? What about TCPA?

The technology is legal. How you use it is what matters under the law β€” that responsibility is yours.

For inbound calls (customers calling you): no TCPA concern. The customer initiated the call.

For outbound calls to mobile numbers: TCPA requires express written consent before automated calling, with statutory damages of $500-$1,500 per call for violations. We strongly recommend consulting a TCPA-experienced attorney before scaling outbound campaigns.

Our voice agents include AI disclosure prompts (some states require this), opt-out handling, and recording-consent reminders for two-party-consent states.

Can the voice agent transfer to a real person?

Yes. Configurable per scenario β€” for example, the agent can transfer to your cell phone if a caller asks for a human, or transfer to your sales team during business hours and take a message after hours. We design this during your setup discovery call.

Account & Billing

How do I update my payment method?

Stripe (when activated) handles all billing. You can update your card by going to your Stripe customer portal β€” link is sent via email after your first invoice. If you don't have it, email us and we'll send a fresh link.

Where can I see my invoices?

Stripe automatically emails you an invoice receipt for each payment. The Stripe customer portal (link in your invoice email) shows full billing history. We don't store invoice data on our side β€” Stripe is the source of truth.

What happens if my trial expires before I subscribe?

The Lunara application locks (you can't sign in to access features), but your data stays on your device β€” it's not deleted. Subscribe anytime to regain access, and all your data is right where you left it.

If you want to walk away, use the JSON backup feature first to keep a copy.

Privacy & Security

Do you sell my data?

No. We don't sell or share personal information for advertising. We don't use your data to train AI models. We don't share with data brokers. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Is Bearded AI HIPAA compliant?

No. We are not HIPAA compliant β€” we don't sign Business Associate Agreements. Do not use Bearded AI to store or process Protected Health Information. If you need HIPAA-grade tools, use a HIPAA-certified vendor.

How do I delete my data?

Three ways depending on what you want to delete:

  1. Local Lunara data: Settings β†’ Data β†’ "πŸ—‘ Clear ALL Data" β€” wipes your localStorage
  2. Browser-wide cleanup: Browser settings β†’ Privacy β†’ Clear browsing data β†’ Cookies and site data β†’ for beardedai.net
  3. Account-level deletion (when backend enabled): Email beardedai.net@gmail.com with subject "Delete My Account" β€” we'll process within 30 days per CCPA/GDPR

Troubleshooting

The site looks broken or buttons don't respond

Try these steps in order:

  1. Hard refresh: Ctrl+F5 (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+R (Mac) β€” forces the browser to reload all assets, bypassing cache
  2. Try a different browser β€” Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari should all work. Some old browsers may not support all features.
  3. Disable browser extensions temporarily β€” ad-blockers and privacy extensions occasionally interfere with localStorage
  4. Check the browser console: F12 β†’ Console tab β†’ look for red error messages, screenshot and email us
  5. Email us with browser name + version + which page + steps to reproduce
Emails from Bearded AI are going to spam

If our emails are landing in your spam/junk folder:

  1. Find the email in spam, mark it as "Not Spam" / "Not Junk"
  2. Add beardedai.net@gmail.com to your contacts or safe sender list
  3. In Gmail, drag the email to "Primary" inbox to train the filter

We're working on setting up a proper domain email (support@beardedai.net) with full SPF/DKIM/DMARC authentication, which will improve deliverability significantly.

I cleared my browser and lost all my Lunara data

If you have a JSON backup file: sign in β†’ Settings β†’ Data β†’ "πŸ“€ Import / Restore" β†’ select your backup file. Done.

If you don't have a backup: unfortunately, the data is gone β€” the local-first architecture means we don't have a copy. Make a habit of exporting weekly until our cloud sync is enabled (coming with the Supabase backend integration).
